Family-run i-Sing Choirs was founded by Helen Jones in 2021, bringing together her lifelong passion for music, singing and community.

A talented multi-instrumentalist, singer, teacher and arranger, Helen studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and has worked alongside some of the biggest names in the industry, including Michael Ball, Kerry Ellis, Russell Watson, Kiki Dee and Kim Wilde. With more than 30 years’ experience leading choirs for both adults and children, she brings an exceptional depth of musical knowledge and experience to i-Sing Choirs.

At the heart of Helen’s approach is her belief that the best choir arrangements are created by someone who truly knows the voices they are writing for. Every i-Sing arrangement is bespoke, written specifically with the strengths of the singers in mind. Melody and harmony are shared across the different vocal sections, ensuring that everyone gets their moment to shine while creating the perfect balance between familiarity, challenge and that unmistakable i-Sing sound.

For Helen, however, choir has always been about much more than singing. She is passionate about creating welcoming communities, bringing people together and using music to make a difference. Throughout her career, Helen’s choirs have raised more than £100,000 for charities and good causes, with i-Sing Choirs alone raising over £30,000 to date.

That combination of high-quality music, genuine community and a whole lot of fun remains at the heart of everything Helen and i-Sing Choirs do.

Cheltenham Leader

Born in Oxford and brought up in the city of Birmingham, Loula was inspired into a musical career after having a mother as a music teacher. Singing with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra from a young age, under the direction of Sir Simon Rattle, she went on to get her music degree at the University of Leeds. Loula then obtained a place at the prestigious Guildford School of Acting (GSA Conservatoire), where she achieved her Masters in Musical Theatre. She has since been a professional performer and vocalist for over 15 years working in musical theatre in London's West End, singing on the high seas, appearing on TV, pantos galore and touring the UK.

After the 2020 pandemic, Loula built on her contracts as cast vocalist/company manager with Seabourn cruise line and took a step up to becoming a popular Cruise Director, travelling the world and heading the entertainment program onboard six star luxury vessels, creating unforgettable moments at sea for thousands of international guests.

Since returning to terra firma, Loula has made her base back in Birmingham and, with a flair for interior design, spends her spare time ‘titivating’ her apartment, has found a new love for Pilates, treasures time catching up with friends and family, and enjoys relaxing with a good book, a glass of New Zealand Sauvignon and a 9 year old Frenchie called Pablo.

Currently working as a vocal teacher for children and adults alike, whilst also gigging and keeping her passion for music alive, Loula joins i-Sing Choirs with an open heart and open mind and is excited to see where this journey will take her.
